Energy Meter Commissioning

Energy meters rely upon correct installation, inter-connection of their component parts and the software to be properly set-up, any failure to comply fully with these requirements may result in an error to the measurement of the energy consumed.

The Renewable Heat Incentive scheme requires evidence such as "commissioning certificates, reports and photographs of the installation clearly showing the serial number of the equipment" (Ofgem, 2011). As part of the commissioning service we will also seal the meter and component parts to fully comply with the RHI scheme and allow an application to be submitted for approval.

Our commissioning procedure will also ensure that the function of the meter is such that optimum accuracy is achieved.

What's included?

  • Confirm the meters are installed, set-up and working correctly
  • Check all connections/terminals are wired correctly and securely
  • Ensure the operating conditions are within the specification of the meters
  • Sealing of meters to prevent tampering
  • A certificate stating the serial number, location & confirming all checks have been completed
