UK METERING COMPLETES SUPPLY OF ICONIC CENTRAL LONDON LANDMARK

UK Metering have successfully completed the delivery of heat energy meters, water meters & gas meters to The Leadenhall Building in conjuction with their client, Laing O'Rourke.

After a rigorous selection process, UK Metering were named as the metering partner for the prestigous development, which sits proudly beside 'The Gherkin' (St Mary's Axe) and opposite Lloyd's of London based in the heart of the City of London, and is designed with unique architectural style which, when viewed from the West, will appear to 'lean away' from St Paul's Cathedral. The building, which is 736ft (224m) in height was a joint venture between British Land and Oxford Properties and construction is expected to terminate mid 2014.

UK Metering were required to firstly understand the key objectives of the project and consequently specify a suitable metering infrastructure which will exceed the requirements of BREEAM. After being selected as the metering provider for the project, it was essential for UK Metering to work in accordance with a strict delivery schedule to enable the contractors to complete their works within their given timeframe. All meters were individually labelled according to their intended location on site and UK Metering continued to provide support & assistance throughout the installation process.

Following the final delivery of meters for the project, Salim Khan, Operations Manager for Crown House Technologies (part of Laing O'Rourke) commented:

"UK Metering have provided a competitive Metering Solution for The Leadenhall Project which was underpinned by excellent Technical and after Sales Support. Their team is always eager to assist and respond promptly to any issues requiring their input. In summary, CHt would highly recommend UK Metering to anyone!"
